About the game
iDating is a conversational card game by Alexander Bodrov for a first date, a couple, or a company. The cards offer questions about different aspects of life and help move from casual conversation to topics that allow you to see the views, values, and sense of humor of the interlocutor.
The game takes place without a host, field, or complicated counting. The convenient structure helps you ask questions, answer honestly, hear others, and better understand how your views, values, and expectations align.
How is the game going?
The cards are shuffled and placed in an accessible place. Participants take turns taking a question, reading it out, and answering it. After the answer, the interlocutors can ask one clarification or share their own point of view if everyone agrees to continue the topic.
For a first date, you can choose an easy pace and stop after a few cards. In a mature couple, the game can be an opportunity to return to issues that partners have not discussed for a long time. In a company, the card starts a general discussion, but each participant has the right to skip a question without explaining the reasons.
It is better not to use questions as interrogations or tests. The answer can be short, humorous or serious, and the clarification can only be an invitation to continue. When participants argue, the goal of the game is not to determine the winner, but to clearly see the different positions.
